It was hoping that this would be the crashed ship update, but that part is not done yet. So they have released some other stuff: Putting stuff on your character in the PDA, tons of crash fixes and preventions, etc
Oh yeah thats right looks nice. I also noticed that there is only 4 craftable things present in the fabricator(Titanium, glass, silicon and computer chip) so I'm guessing we have to unlock the other thing through exploring/learning or?
Be careful with those signals, I had one that led to a bleeder death.. go here it said.. i went..i died. You also get diamonds but i guess there's nothing to make with them yet.
So with this new update I noticed that there's a save button, which I love the idea of rather than having to quit to desktop whenever you want to save.
Although my save button is greyed out permanently. I assume that's because I play on hardcore mode.
My question however is: Will a quit to desktop still save my hardcore game? As it no longer states "Save and Exit"
Is this in the Experimental or Stable branch? I wonder if the savegame files are still placed under "SteamApps\common\Subnautica\SNAppData\Savedgames"
Like an Autosave feature now hmm? That is nice. I wonder how often or if it triggers on exiting the game. If that is the case it is annoying because of how often it crashes I saved periodically
As far as I can tell it only happens when exiting the game; in hardcore mode anyway. It looks like the OP is playing in survival mode as his save button isn't greyed out. So I'd imagine he'll be able to save it any time he wants.
I believe you have to have at least one part of the constructable object for the recipe to show up. I'm hoping that once you have seen the recipe, it will not go away again.

I believe it stands for 2015 - the last versions also had it...
