Hello all,
New to Subnautica but not to the EAG crowd. Just joined the forum today as I am now supporting this EAG. I am giving some opinion and thought, understanding this game is EAG and still real early in development. Let me start with my first experience.
*starts games-Plays Survival*
'wakes up in the escape pod, climbs out to an open expanse of water'
*acknowledges my food, water, O2 and health meters*
'Dives in and starts looking for food resources etc, super paranoid that something is going to eat me every second I am submersed and all the sounds coming from that depths'-- 'Swims back up every minute for air'
**Dies of Dehydration while frantically seeking fresh water with his suit alarm going off**
10/10 would die of thirst again.
Simply outstanding. The learning curve was a bit steep if you don't pay attention (the only thing I had to google was the Airsack)
Thoughts:
A real good start. Graphically I was shocked by how gorgeous this early concept is. I found my self gazing into the depths just to watch the atmosphere. Immersion wise I was pulled in for my whole weekend. Gameplay it is a bit buggy obviously but so far most things make sense and work as they should in the basic form they come.
Graphics: Mind blown
Gameplay: No real tutorial yet kinda have to die a few timesand do some googling to make progress. Exactly what I have wanted from a sandbox, am so tired of the traditional land based biomes. This brought much needed diversity to this genre.
I am excited to see the content that is added, possible NPC's and missions, engine changes, development progression and the many other interesting things that could come from this EAG.
Thanks all. Hope to become a regular member.!

Also, a brand new SN player easily has 5-10 hours of unique play time (depending on play style), and UWE isn't done yet. I'm hoping to see 20-30 hours of playable content by their target Oct 31 release later this year.
The reason I am buying it AT THIS VERY MOMENT is because of that. Games in comparison that have been out longer in EAG don't look or play as good as this does so early. In my experience.
AND I MUST SUPPORT THE DEVS.
GO DEVS! Solid work old chaps.
Now I just hope they don't screw around like other dev teams that push actual content only every few months, get stuff done and push it for testing!
