Should new creatures be left a secret?

Hello everyone!

I'm not sure if anyone else has made a thread on this but here's what i've been thinking of lately.

In real life the ocean waters are mostly unexplored, most species that reside in the ocean are unknown of and haven't been discovered yet.
My point is, since the ocean is a large, unexplored and mysterious place, shouldn't the new species released with updates have to be discovered?

A prime example is the new update: ''Crash Site''. There will be a new creature which will inhabit the crash site and will supposedly attack us if we get anywhere near it... But what if this creature wasn't revealed? What if we discovered this creature for ourselves? Imagine getting into your submoth and diving down into the depths, curious as to what you would find to be suddenly startled at the site of a new alien species of fish. You would have no idea how powerful it is.

That would be an amazing experience in my opinion!

What do you guys think of this idea? :)

Testing a game in early development is different than playing the final product. If you want to be surprised by this game, just wait until it is finished and then play it.

Alternatively, just play the new patches without reading the blog posts.
