What do I do now?

I've built a pretty big base, I have a seamoth docked in my Cyclops, and I am full on food and water. Is there anything else to do until the worlds get bigger? Any cool secrets, easter eggs, weird formations I could go search for? Anything, pretty much. I could build little things, but I want to explore, and the world just isn't big enough.

Also, when you fenture past the life pod. The food and water materials just go? i feel this is annoying and tedius because it runs out so fast before you can explore.
Just some places off the top of my head that you should definitely try and find (hint: for the lavazone I suggest enabling the console and typing "biome inactivelava"
Whatever did you find to hold you over that long? I played one survival game and had to eat something every 5-10 minutes! Stalker sharks must be good eatin'! LOL
But yeah, I agree that this game needs some kind of greenhouse base addon, a hydoponics bay or something where you can grow your own food and not have to hunt it down and risk starving to death because your last hope of a good meal swims right into the mouth of a bone shark.
Thanks for the lavazone tip, I was wondering where I could find it.
I filled my inventory with Acid Mushrooms, so I wouldn't have to go looking every time my food gets low. The devs talked about an aquarium of sorts, and that's what I'm looking forward to.
I can't find the island, I have no clue where it is.
So the back of my ship would be pointed towards the engines? Or towards the right side of the ship
(last time I played this bug was still present-- so I'm assuming it still is. )
If you face towards the area we told you to, outside of a vehicle is the best way to do this, l would suggest going literally half above and half below the surface, and then just a tad down, really a millimeter. The water effect that moves over your eyes will actually show (at an absurdly long distance) the outline of the massive floaters that keep the island afloat-- effectively giving you xray vision through the fog of war so to speak
