No fragment analyzer in expermiental 14107?

yeah... noticed this after last nights update of experimental. How exactly are we suppose to unlock blueprints if we don't have access to an analyzer? What's the point of removing it when it hinders testing?

can't even access the blueprint tab there, and I noticed the removed the build menu when pressing B

There is a sticky on the steam forums that cautions how experimental is very prone to broken builds and bugs. That's the trade off for playing something closer to the in house build. It's painful regardless, when you just want to play with the new toys and not have to switch back to the stable build. A broken experimental build usually doesn't last more than a day though.

true enough, although I did notice something on the loot table that was posted a few days ago. It appears the Analyzer is a part of the Cyclops build? From looking at the loot tree it shows it's a branch off right along with hull reinforcement. So I assume it's an upgrade for the Cyclops. Guess I'm gonna have to go build one to see what's up with that.

Ah, my bad... hadn't built a Cyclops in the past few sessions so I thought that was what you were referring to (fabricating it in the Clops). Yes, from all my other times playing, the Analyzer could only be built in the Cyclops. Experimental changes so much though it's hard to keep up. I'm pretty sure even Cyclops restriction will be subject to change soon :)

*Edit* Just now realized it was off the actual Sub menu as well and I can't open blueprints either...so, will have to wait for fixes

Analyzer still isn't in experimental build, can't exactly get certain items still since they require a blueprint which you get from fragments.

Can't make a terraformer, stasis rifle or with the recent exp build the base power generator.

Still don't understand why they removed it unless they were redoing the texture on it... which would be pointless since if it was a simple graphical change. Could they be changing the mechanic entirely of the fragment system?

I am in the non experimental build, I keep switching back and fourth and restarting games to see if this is fixed in either place though I cant find it either as already researched, in cyclops or as a random blueprint on the seafloor. Without this I can't make some of the items (obvs) and namely I cannot make the stasis rifle which really sucks because it helps so much in Kelp Forest exploration. I know they added exosuit fragment in update 10 which I imagine is not yet complete and unless they want those stuck to the mushroom trees is also bugged. Personally I agree with making the analyzer a stand alone blue print that you find and make PRIOR to building the cyclops IF that is what the dev's intention is. It would only make sense that way otherwise you would have to build a cyclops before you could analyze any fragments which would also mean you would need to eventually build that prior to seamoth when they finally implement that fragment as being required to unlock seamoth. I imagine the devs are working on bases as a priority so this will likely be put on the back burner which makes me sad.

whole fragment/tech thing makes my head spin. I try not to think about it, and if I need something I can't get like the stasis rifle, I just cheat it in. Honestly, I don't even need the stasis rifle, so I've never fired one. Ever. I have no trouble surviving the kelp forest without one.

    Sure, it's a WIP, but it's still a floppy bit I can't help but notice constantly. :-?
