Hi all,
When I open the graphics menu in the options just after opening the game, the fps counter doesn't show my fps going above 60.
I have a 144hz monitor, using a dual link DVI-D cable, the desktop refresh rate is set to 144hz and all my other games run at 144hz so I know it works and is capable. In NS2 Combat it goes above 100 in the options mode and when playing.
My PC spec is:
CORSAIR 230T COMPACT GAMING CASE - BLUE LED
Overclocked Intel® Core™i5-4690k Quad Core (3.50GHz @ upto 4.60GHz)
ASUS® MAXIMUS VII RANGER: PCI-e 3.0, SATA 3.0, USB3.0
16GB KINGSTON HYPER-X FURY DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (2 x 8GB)
4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 970
120GB KINGSTON HYPERX 3K SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 555MB/sR | 510MB/sW) ( NS2 is installed on here)
2TB 3.5" SATA-III 6GB/s HDD 7200RPM 64MB CACHE
CORSAIR 750W CS SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET
Corsair H60 Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler
Windows 8.1 64 Bit
The monitor: AOC G2460FQ (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/24-aoc-g2460fq-144hz-gaming-monitor-1920x1080-displayport-hdmi-dvi-vga-350cd-m2-80m1-speakers)
I've got all the graphics options set to max and triple buffered but it doesn't seem to budge (It's set to the same in NS2:Combat). Do I need to manually change a file or put something into the developer console?
Any help would be hugely appreciated as I would like to get the best out the game!
All the best,
Olli

A friend of mine had a similar problem of locked fps.
In his case he had a hdmi-cable attached to a tv-screen as well.
As soon as he took the cable away the fps rose to normal levels.
Did not see it mentioned above, but hope this helps.
Maybe try the command in console "maxfps 200" and see if it fixes it. ~ is the console key.
edit: I missed it in the main menu.
