<div class="IPBDescription">I've gotten to play 1.4 alot recently...</div> I've gotten to play 1.04 alot recently and i must say it's soo much better then 1.03 in soo many way.
2 things i really enjoy with 1.04 is the LOS requierment for the seiges, no longer will marines get to the most cramped spaces near a hive, fill it with 3 seiges a few turrets and then move on and to the same witht he next hive. Instead now The marines try really hard to build smnall outpost near hives, build one seige and use the outpost to attack the hive from. Since the seiges will no longer fire at things closeby without somekind of LoS, the marines now attack hives more personly.
Secondly, the change to Phasegates, Sicne they now cost more and are easier to kill, the marines are more aware on guarding them then before. It's nowhere as easy to do a phasegate rush anylonger and if you leave an phasegate alone without protection, an lone skulk will soon come and chew it up in no time. Also the thing that you now in order to use a phasegate must actually "use" it in order to teleport is a great relief, no longer will marines miss their stop or get stuck in an neverending phasecirkle and Aliens can now happily chew phasegates up without having to suddnly find themselves teleporting into the marine spawn.
And Balance between aliens and marines? it's better then ever.
There are still alot of bugs and some issues to be dealt with every version, gameplay gets even better.
Just my two cents, Ns is getting better and better.

I haven't seen any Aus 1.04 test servers yet, but this is some positive feedback on the siege issue. I'd hate how some sneaky marine would just setup outside the hive and BOOM it's gone. Hurrah for Flayra's magical coding monkey!

There are 2 ways of saying things
Long winded typing. In which case you'll likely get shot.
"I am evolving to a gorge, I shall then secure the kharaa several Resource Nozzles. At the same time I will acquire the team some Defense chambers as well Offense Chambers. After this I plan to go wait patiently at an empty hive until I have enough resources to build it. If it's not too much trouble could I please get some skulk support to cover me while I do so"

"Gorging, I'll get some RNs, then some DC+OC farms. Afterwards I'll save for a hive. Can a skulk cover me?"
It's slang... It's much easier than typing it all out.
Yea i havent seen any Australian servers using 1.04, but it is good to hear about the balancing of the teams. I wonder what is going to happen now. Maybe they will stop bugging comm for things and actually do some killing, Hooray.

The game went on and on and on...but because the Aliens could not utilize the Fades to kill our hidden siege base, the marines sieged down Viaduct hive again and again, eventually winning the team.
[Oops this either happened on Fist of Ra, or HomeLan, I can't recall correctly. Either way I think both of them are good servers]

Once you had a base in there I think the aliens would have been better off attacking your main base at Cargo Bay.
