Turning the Tables on a 3 Hived Kharaa
How To Win when the Kharaa have 3 Hives!
This is not a new tactic, infact I've been in many games where its been used to great effect, so here goes..
The Situation
The Kharaa have successfully taken 2 hives and your marine base is under heavy attack, by this stage your marines are so tied up at the base that they are probably taking the 3 hive. Soon you see Onos knocking at the door, and it looks like game over.. but is it?
The Solution: Sneak Out
There are several ways of sneaking out, one of those is for the commander to issue jetpacks to everyone in the vane hope that one of those marines will make it to safety out of the base, or the other way is to just find a vent and crawl out by yourself. Once you are out, you have to try to get as close as possible to a hive, which means that you may have to leap a few offensive towers, chances are that the last taken hive will be least defended, that might be the one to get to.
Rebuilding
If the Commander has been wise, and not decided to spam the seiged marines with HA and HMGs, they will probably have enough resources to begin building another CC somewhere else. At this point in the game, the hives will be fairly deserted, most of the Kharaa players will be busy seiging the marine base, and most likely none of them will be respawning, so if a marine manages to get free, then they can call the commander to build a CC where they are.
Build Order
Once the CC has been build near the hive, the original CC and its commander will probably be killed seconds afterwards. This is where the lone marine gets inside the new CC and builds a portal. Once the portal is built marines will start spawing back in. As the marines spawn back in the aliens will be alerted of the relocation and begin searching the map, so it is wise to warn your teammates not to attack any chambers or hives to give your location away.
Try to get marines to sneak in each of the hives, this also increases your chance of survival again, and build a TF and seige in each one. If possible try to coordinate the building so the seiges are completed at the same time, and begin bombarding at the same time. Immediately, all three hives will be simultaneously attacked by seiges.
The aliens will be confused as all three of their hives are being attacked and will find it hard to coordinate themselves to know which one to save. If the seige has been placed near the heart of each hive, the seiged Kharaa chambers at the entrances will stop the Kharaa getting into their own hive.

Comments
When I did it on Bast 2 or 3 marines had just taken the engine hive so I dropped the CC in the little hole on top of the engine. I think what made it really sneaky is the fact that I ordered everyone to stay at the current base and fight like the game depended on it instead of running off to the engine hive
(Game extended 20 minutes)
But the time I did it on nothing was a real classic. We were stuck in base and Onos had started coming in. I suddenly remembered a room accessable only by vents just south of Viaduct that I had run through as a skulk earlier. I equiped my best marine with a HMG and a jetpack and sent him there with orders not to shoot anything. He died the first time he tried but I sent him out again and this time he went a different way and got there unnoticed. When he got there we built a CC, a TF, partially built 3 sieges at the northern end of the room, 2-4 turrets and a phase gate, after the phase gate went up one or two marines came through but the rest kept fighting for the base, unaware that we almost had a secondary base going. Then we finished building the sieges which locked onto the hive immediatly. Next we built 2 IPs, a Prototype lab and an arms lab (in retrospect building the Prototype lab and arms lab wasn't a good idea).
When Marines started spawning in the vent room I sent them on scouting missions, after a while calls for medpack started to filter through. after looking at the RP situation (2 RPs) I uttered this "If anyone needs a medpack, just shut up and die". I soon sent 4 marines through the vents to the cargo hive. since the defences there didn't allow us to build a tf (not to mention we couldn't afford it) I ordered them to fire on the hive. Unfortuantly they all died without even taking out any aliens. Not long after The aliens figured out where we were and started throwing everything they had at us, within 10 minutes we were all but defeated. But luckily I had one more idea, luckily for us the aliens wanted to kill us all as quickly as possible so they had focused their attack on the IPs, the TF and the CC and were basically ignoring the Observatory. I waited until the last moment possible and then activated the beacon, which spawned all the dead marines back at out original base which was surprisingly empty.
I dropped a CC in it's usual place and then hopped out of my CC so someone else could hop in the new one. And it was the marine startgame all over again but this time the guy who jumped in the CC while I was dead stayed there. The aliens found us quicker this time and soon Onos were decimating our base and not much later we lost. While I was dead after I placed the CC in the vents I was almost laughing, but when I did it a second time I was literally having trouble staying in my chair.
First base movement (Game extended 30 minutes)
Second base Movement (Game extended 15 minutes)
Niether of these glorious losses would have been possible without -/AUS/- Doner, one of the best marines I've ever commanded
But if they only have to 2 hives and 1 sneaks out and build cc in a seluded spot. pref a vent, then u can siege it then and there and u r back in the game if u can destroy there fades.
Its also more secure to fly and hide a lonely marine than make those building sounds at locations where aliens dwell, and also its cheaper than a siege base which 1 fade could chomp all by itself
We were Marines and somehow we lost the CC(!!!!). Aliens had already second hive BUT no heavy defences anywhere! So we just screamed to eachother to go through our portal at the double res and attack first left to the one hive. We went here for some 2-3 lives and took it down. Then we went right and attacked the second hive. At the end, we had more than 700 res and yes, there are newplayer aliens out there so next time you re facing a defeat remember that they might be new players who only can shoot good ok, maybe it will be a lie for 99% of the time, but hey! it gives marines more courage!
Everytime so far that ive seen theyve been more than enuff to kill any rebuild.
1) good comm
2) cooperative marine
3) good location and luck
i was defending the main base wif hmg and ha against fade and the comm say " we have second base at engine so delay time " and after this all marine instead of guarding main went to port engine ---> wat the **** so this giv off our location wif 7 marine runing to it so wat you say about these marine ??
