PhysX future implementations?

I see there's a PhysX option in the video settings, and information about it is rather scarce. I'd love to see full gpu physx implementation in NS2. Is that something that's planned? Are there any other graphical advances planned for NS2, specifically regarding physics?

    PhysX doesn't work atm I think. Also UWE is working on their next project now and only a handful of community members are developing NS2. There's one guy with engine access but I think he has a lot other stuff to do than to have a look at the PhysX.

    I always envisioned lots of stuff flying around (barrels, walls, light fixtures etc...) in NS2 before it was developed. I guess those things probably wouldn't work too well with a competitive fps/rts though. People already complain about the PvE elements.

    This Ingameoption is only a placebo one.

    Try this:
    - Force PhysiX in the GPU control panel
    - In the Control panel activate the PhysiX status view @ 3d settings (top corner)
    - Activate the ingame PhysX option.
    - restart the game

    And?

    But it doesn't actually do anything (not only that, but if there's no gpu acceleration) ?

    Sounds like the first reply is most accurate. Doesn't work and no current plans to make it work. Shame :/

    I couldn't get it to work either with the same results as dePARA. The PhysX video above was played as filler at the last event which is when I last tried it.

    GPU PhysX does not work at all as the post above state.

    Not sure why it does not, something in the code.

    Apparently! That should speed stuff up end game especially I imagine.

    I hope that helps servers too. I want to know more and see numbers about this multithreadedness coming.
