<div class="IPBDescription">TAS marine of doom!</div> <a href='http://www.bkj.gametribe.net/ns/SmartgunNSMarine.zip' target='_blank'>much love </a> to Ripley8 for hosting.
Please do not post links that are directly to downloads without some detail of what they contain, including file size and the fact that they are downloads. Yes I know you can look in the status bar, and in fact I usually do, but many people may not know about that, or what that bit means.
It may not be a problem for you, but my pc is old and decrepid, and takes an age to open my download software, which I had to sit through before I could close it because I didn't know that link would open my download manager.
At the very least stick the word *download* next to the link.
come on, it was 300k - it can't have taken long to download <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
I am not complaining about the size of the download, simply that he didn't indicate it was a download. The fact is that my computer takes 3 times as long to open my download software as it would to download that 300k file, and as (at the time) I did not want to download it anyway, I had to stare at my computer chuging away for nearly 2 mins, before I could close the damn manager.
I am not having a go, mearly (sp?) asking that people put "*Download*" next to links to downloads.
Anyway, as I said before, it is a very nice job, and I was wondering if I could put it on my upcoming skinning site? Full credit will be put up for the author obviously.
links are either html or download 99.9% of the time . . . You can check in a couple ways, right click link and click properties to see the file extension, or you can read whats around it, such as the "for hosting" part after the link kinda of indicates its a download, especially when hes talkin bout a skin
FFS, I only asked him to make it clear it was a download rather than a link.
Ganja, I am a qualified webmaster, I know how to tell if somthings a download or not. The easiest way to see if somthing is a download is to look in the status bar, not messing about with link properties.
As for it being obvious what it is "The Smartgun Animated" suggests a flash animation or somthing, not a skin.
Anyway, please forget I said anything, I am sick and tired of this thread and wish I had never posted in the first place, save to ask if I could put the model on my web site.
Mr Headcrab, that ok with you? Oh, and can I put up the seige cannon sound you did please?
Im sorry for not making clear the download, it was n00bish of me, I\f anyone wants to rehost it, go right ahead, note i only converted the animation, the real credit goes to the NS modeling team and the creator of the smartgun animated marine. I will now be shot
has anyone done a smartgun animated HA model yet? I would like to see that because right now I have the sg v models and such but not the P-models because they do that weird stand on one end thing.
its odd, the apesuit is setup on the normal marine skeleton, so i cant do a direct port , so im attempting my hand at animation editing. I've had some positive results, but it still looks funny...

However, the model looks very nice, good work.
