This could be amazing, I don't play competitive because i don't synchronize correctly with the competitive player attitude properly so this won't apply for me sadly. I'm all for a system like this though, could add an awesome dynamic to the competitive game and enable newer strategies (got some extra res, might make that team play riskier). I fundamentally disagree that competitive play should be entirely about even matches always because in the real world things are never that fair.
