Is there a way to alt-tab out of NS2 and do stuff in windows, but still be be able to hear all the sounds\voicecomms? You used to be able to do this in previous builds but it recently changed. Is there a way to trick the game into doing this so it doesn't act like its minimized when alt tabbed?

Noes! I'm currently running 1280x720 windowed. Any idea what files (is it a lua setting??) that are responsible?

I'll take a look into this to see if it works.

Oi dont look at me like that, I mentor around on rookie servers. Me giving the rookies a few extra seconds probably would help game balance more then my full focus.
It was nice to be able to alt+tab to an IM after death and switch back into game upon respawn. Pretty much the whole damn purpose of windowed mode for me. Now I'm forever missing Comm\Khamm instructions.
Edit: If this is a design rather than bug, would much rather have a game option to choose. Clearly they have the ability to set it both ways (though maybe not at the same time as keeping the window bug fix)
It's PERFECT for audio-only "spectating" on TGNS servers. The TGNS mod provides the voicecomm of both teams simultaneously (see sig for details) to all spectators (specs don't consume player slots, and they're ignored by AFK kicker). It's Captains Night every Friday night on TGNS, and I can't play tonight, but I'm listening to the games while I do other work on my machine, and it's DELICIOUS to follow the games so closely (by listening to everyone's voicecomms) even though I'm alt-tabbed out of the game. It's like an NS2 radio broadcast. Fun, fun.
11 month thread necro... That feature was added in the latest patch and did not exist when this thread was last active.
Of course the rest of the post looks like a commercial for Tactical Gamer servers
