Crashing while loading in Ubuntu 13.10

So I'm having trouble loading this game in Ubuntu 13.10. I launch the game from within steam, see a black window for less than a second and then it crashes. I looked at another thread about this problem in Ubuntu, but the problem was with his Nvidia Drivers. I however am trying to run this on my laptop which has Intel HD 3000 Integrated graphics.

These are the contents of the log file.

Error: Couldn't initialize the render device.

From this it looks like I need to install OpenGL 3.1, but I'm not exactly sure how to do that on Ubuntu. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance fro your help

    If you check the other threads, you will see that Intel integrated is not supported and that its use is discouraged for NS2. Even if it did run, its performance would be abysmal. You should see whether you can get a proper graphics card.
