Linking steam account for badges and such

Heya. I had received an e-mail stating that my steam account wasn't properly linked and how how to link my account but my e-mail server has no record of it for some reason. How would I go about in linking my account for badges to appear properly in-game. Additionally, is there a way yet to select which badge shows, or how to show multiple ones?
