Fade stab, how exactly does it work?

It has a huge preparation phase. I suppose it's used to assassinate unsuspecting targets... or can it be used in combat?

Also, I have noticed it does normal damage, instead of swipes that does puncture. Does it mean it is more useful against buildings overall?

It rewards accuracy/timing with massive damage for only one hit.

You can use shadowstep while building up for Stab. I would set up a vortex first, I imagine it would be extremely hard for a marine to kill you during a single prep phase.

Flying at them and initiating stab from mid air (blink) looks and feels more awesome and badass, it's also much more difficult to time and aim at the same time though :P

Make sure you stick em with the pointy end.

As mentioned above, you can use shadowstep to close the gap as the stab comes down. It is an incredibly powerful attack. In order to time it right, it helps to shout "Falcooooon.... PUNCH!" every time you use stab.

Thanks, Si-fu, I will practice hard.

if you can get enough speed going with blinkhop you can charge it up midair and throw it right as you land infront/behind someone.

Feels hideously clunky but it is surprisingly effective at times, the energy cost is insane though and it's almost impossible to hit a decent jetpacker with it. It does make getting picks with aura feel really good but I also feel like I'd be doing a more useful job just using swipe and blink instead of stab and vortex.

Can stab take down a full hp/armor a2/a3 marine?

It deals 160 normal damage so if you need burst damage against an exo it's often a better choice (assuming he doesn't see you on the windup).
