pff you part-timers! I quite frequently have to do 24h shifts at work. I'm a research scientist and part of my work requires synchrotron radiation: beam time is expensive so us academics tend to get 24h weekend shifts to do our data collection. It does wipe me out for a couple of days afterwards, though, I'll give you that!

Yeah, but at least you end up with super powers at the end of your shift, Roobubba.

I think the *big secret* for 252 release will have something to do with spectating .. hopefully some way to spectate games 'ingame' ;) dota2 style ;) (IMHO this would be the single biggest way to increase NS2's profile :) )

but then again .. biodome and linux support .. jeez .. they're pretty huge in themselves :D .. wondering if reserved slots will be sorted in this release :) know that's also being worked on

Sorry to point this out guys but if you drink 1 to 3 litres of energy drink a day (or alcohol daily) and have had no adverse effects then so far you are just very lucky. Don't discount the fact that it might one day come back to haunt you in a really bad way.

I used to have 2 or 3 cans a day without hitch and then one day I started coming out in rashes. Now my body can't control it's temperature unless I stick to water.

You are messing up your bodies chemistry badly. It can't control it's cortisol levels accurately (affecting sleep patterns and causing fatigue, lowering your immune system), you risk diabetes, you risk lymph node damage (can lead to cancer) and causes water retention (hope you like sweat).

I haven't had an energy drink for over a year now and it's just not fixing itself.

    It's not worth the risk.

i sleep 4 or 6 hours per day sometimes im up 2 days and then sleep 4 or 6 hours. So far i have had a cold for two days in seven years so my immune system have not been affected from drinking cold energydrinks. lets say you are correct and it will shorten my lifespan with 20 years, thats like a fourth of the total lifetime i am given perhaps. i will still continue drink them every single day :) there is just nothing on this world that can replace epic monster energydrinks. already had two this morning!

I've heard that engergy drink is made from the blood of innocent gummy bears. That is the reason I stick to beer.
