Extreme Ns_bast Exploit

<div class="IPBDescription">Base bile bombing, not stoppable</div> I just went into a game on ns_bast. There was an alien who had figured out an exploit on the map I hadn't seen before. He got under the elevator at base and was bile bombing the CC and all structures. We couldn't kill him. We tried shooting him, knifing him, nading him, using turrets, everything, but all failed. Imminently, we lost. I hate **obscenity** people who think **obscenity** like that is funny.

    you mean the elevator upto the CC console? not the huge elevator down to double res?.

    If it was under CC elavator he probably just got randomly stuck there rather than it being a specific exploit by intention.

    NO NO NO. I mean the 2 elevators IN THE BASE ROOM that don't work. He was under the left one, if you're facing them from the CC. He was shooting bile bombs through the bottom of it and hitting any structure at base he pleased.

    And I'm sure he knew how to do it time and time again, because he global-messaged "marines look at elevators at your spawn."

    why do people never take demos/screenshots or at least a condomp. FFS alls you have to do is type record_demo or something like that.

    No eelvators in marine spawn on nothing. It's Bast.

    And yes, Fades can shoot through solid objects if they're close enough.

    eclipse? but urgh.... sounds like that sucked. Although, a repostion of CC and portals is always good.

    Not too much of an exploit IMHO.

    If the aliens have bile bomb, you've probably already lost.

    I've put it into bug reports that fades can shoot through some solid objects. I've tested it on elevators, windows and other such things.

    and fades can stick their head through that window and bb everything... so....

    There are two elevators that dont work on nothing. One across from the CC and the other across from the starting RT.

    It's not that hard, I usually did it every game when i played firearms JIC I went on a knife rampage.

    You can bounce grens inbetween the wall and elevator sides, and that = dead fade. If they can't do that, well then honestly they deserve to lose, because unless somehow being behind some flimsly thin floor like that also somehow transports you to some magical fairly land of invincibility, it's no problem.

    It's not hard, I won't say how to stop the dimwitted exploiting it for now. No doubt the dev team know of the bug, as I'd guess many fades have been wasted due to it.

    We tried that too, but respectively the nades just fell through the bottom of the map.
