Anybody else think the shift echo effect needs an update?

Essentially it would replace the sort of weird looking sinking effect, with the same 'charge-up' where it gradually fades into non-existence, then disappears in a flash. When it reappears it starts to fade in, then another flash and its there. Would be much cooler than the current implementation. I'm imaging something like the capital ship warpin from eve online, except more alienly:

    It's one of the things I actually really like as it is.

    It should desolve into the infestation.

    the sinking is desolving into infestation & reapearing out of infestation so far I can see.
    Thats exactly what happens. Why would we change it so something less 'real'?

    I kinda think that fades are already breaking the boundaries when it comes to shifting in and out of space (1st evolution of aliens is a dog with teeth, 2nd Pig creature that spits, 3rd is a flying pterodactyl, 4th A bipedal creature that shifts in and out of space? what?), so I believe that when the shift sinks into a cysted area and slowly re-appears on another cysted area, it fits in well.

    Its awesome the way it is, why change something that works, is not broken? When there is alot of other things that could be done?

    It would look more like that if there wasn't the outline around it that makes you see the full structure in the ground regardless.

    It's not the visual effect that should be refurbished. it's the menu.
    *One structure at a time,
    *Can't program it. As each move is a step by step style.
    *No selection between same 2 buildings.
    *Hardcoded key doesn't help either.

    I like it as it is but it's a little strange that it looks exactly the same as nutrient mist

    @CrushaK
    then lets only remove the outline when the effect is in progress?
