Cannot play anymore (menu problems?)

Hi,
I bought the game some time ago (when it wasn´t still on Steamstore) and i played it with no problems till now (that´s why i think that this is not a graphic settings problem). The fact is that now (i have no idea if it has anything to do with the DLC: Natural Selection 2 - Deluxe DLC, but is happend since the background of the menu changed) everytime i run the game, when i click in one of the menu buttons it takes me to the next menu, but in this one nothing appears except the title of the menu and i cannot go bakc, only close the game by pressing ALT+F4.
For example: if i click Play, the title says Play, but any server list or option appears like before.
But it is not that the game crashes or anything, because the background is still moving.
Also, when i enter to the menu, as i move the mouse pointer over the options, only one of them is "remarked" and freezed as marcked (for example 01 Play >>>), althought i can click on any of them.
Is there anyway to fix this problemm?. Do you know about anybody who had this problem or something similar?
As i said I don´t think it has anything to do with the graphic settings because i´ve been playing the game many time before this problem.

P.S.: The only menu choice which still works is "Exit". XD

i forgot to show a screenshot which i think will make easier to understand the problem. That´s what appears when i press "Play".

Just on a side note .. the search functionality is pretty dire .. can't "quote phrases" to search on .. so you end up with crap coming back most of the time :P (unless it's changed recently)
