Mouse Issues

Hello, ever since I have bought this game on steam I have had a issue where the game does not respond to moving my mouse. If I hover over options it selects play. I would seriously like a refund on the game if my issue can't be solved because I was never able to play the game and it would have been a total waste of money.

Never heard of this one before.
Please upload the zip file made by techsupport.exe that is found in your NS2 install directory.

    Is that a Macintosh?

I was wondering what a parallels graphics adapter is, then I googled it and found out it's a virtual machine. I have had no success running emulated graphics for games. Anyway, try bootcamp if it is a Macintosh which will get you running Windows Natively instead of virtually. There's probably some strangeness going on with how Parallels handles graphics and input device passthrough.

Bootcamp will require you to reboot the computer in order to switch between OS X and Windows though, which is less convenient than what Parallels does.

Although you could be running GNU, I don't know enough about Parallels to make a good guess on that.

Could I possibly just get a refund on this game, I would download Bootcamp, but it would require me to delete my already existing Hard disk for Parallels and replace it with the Bootcamp one. I have no intention of deleting everything I have in Windows being run by parallels.

You can try with steam... But seeing as how the requirements to play the game are windows, there's a good chance they won't if you mention you are using another operating system.

You would have to contact Steam support for a refund. Their policy for refunds is very unfriendly to consumers as they will only give you one refund, ever (unless the policy changes of course). You can't claim the product to be defective as Windows is listed as a requirement and you don't run Windows, so there's no discussion there.

Know however that even though you paid for game specified to run on Windows only, much progress is being made which will allow NS2 to run natively on OS X and Linux, and knowing UWE I can't imagine they would require a separate license for it. You helped fund that, so look at it as an investment and eventually you will get to play a great game on your desktop OS of choice. :)

Is there an estimation for when NS2 will come out for Mac?
