    looks ok to me, try a little more variation in your texture usage though, like some corridor ceilings have the same texture as the walls, just general little tweaks looks nice really. i had a look at your other map also, is this a wip? because as it is, its too bland.

    I wish I could make maps this well.

    I have no idea how hard this would be, but in 03.jpg, can you move the particle generator farther back into the vent? The vent reminds me of a drawing of the north wind... kinda like it's blowing cold air through pursed lips.

    In 04.jpg, I almost expect some sort of emergency notice to be flashing: "Emergency Lighting Activated" or something. First impression is kind of a local red alert.

    14, I like that fan above the hive! unique

    BTW: I'm doing a CS map (ducks for cover), there's a property, of the map I think, which sets the ambient light level. It may just dictate how bright the sky texture shines, but if not, that might be the easiest way to get bright screen shots. 'Course it would suck to have to recompile the whole map just to do screen shots but...

    Nice map. The map just looks clean, as if this were a real place. I'd bet this is a really fun map to play on. Good job.

    i am actually trying to do so, but the map's texture usage is already at 3.64 mb and i'd like it to stay under 4MB...

    spotlights will probably be added later, after the playtesting.

    I would say 12.jpg actually looks like nothing O_o

    How come there are tatty scratched hazard stripes are on the ceiling and the perfect, untouched ones are on the floor? Should it not be the other way around? Why are they hazard stripes anyway? Are the walls going to jump out and crush me? Bah! I dislike your in-appropriate use of hazard stripes.

    cargo looks like agood place for a hive

    and it looks like your going to fit a hive in the middle there near sigma cluster

    if you are you should run a vent to sigma cluster so aliens can go in if marines try and seige from there

    ok, i will try to use less stripes

    hive #2 will be located in the south of cargo and hive #3 will be southeast of command center

    So far it looks very good. The overview isn't finished so I can only say that it looks promising also. If I were you, I would however, keep an eye on marine accessible routes. Right now playground available to marines seems a bit confined. Of course unless the red vent looking system in the middle is also accessible to marines. If it's aliens and jetpackers only, I would seriously consider giving marines some kind of way to cross the map diagonally from northeast to southwest.

    That's just my 2 cents. Your work looks very good.I didn't even mind the hazard stripes. =)

    The vents are Jetpack/Alien only... but you are right, this additional diagonal route is probably a good idea...

    "buildminimap" only creates a blue-grey minimap
    to make overvies (thats probably what you wanted to know) you have to type <b>dev_overview 1</b> in the console
    center the map on screen with the arrow keys (primary/secondary fire zooms in/out) and take screenshot.
    dev_overview 0 switches back to normal view

    the vents are crap an will probably be rebuild...
    there are tons of small red lights in them, that sometimes cause max_models (too many brushbased entities) <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
