Major FPS decrease since 247/248

I've been getting a huge fps decrease recently. I use to get 60+ fps all game long with almost every graphics setting maxed out, and it would only drop to around 45-50 fps in high combat areas in the late game. Now I can barely get 60 fps at the start of the game with all settings on minimum/off and get random fps drops to 30 and lower.

Anyone else having this problem?

I've also been seeing a drastic amount of blood-but-no-numbers since then. Even being a Skulk and hitting a full bite sometimes does no damage. It is almost unplayable at this point.

I've noticed it, too. I find myself disabling shadows in general now, whereas in the pre-247 builds, I could run it with shadows. I don't know what what's happening, but performance certainly doesn't seem to be getting better.

What servers are you playing on?

Various. I've played everything from 18 player NS2 servers without any mods to 24 player combat servers with 10+ combat maps and they all perform the same.

I can verify this. Just logged in to multiple servers, ones that I play in and ones that I don't normally and my FPS never goes above 20. Lag is so bad it is unplayable. I haven't changed any settings within NS2 or on my computer in general. All other games work fine. I don't really plan on altering my graphic settings within NS2 as they were working fine for months. This is obviously some bug that needs to be fixed.

    Specs:

    i7
    GTX 560ti
    16gb ram

Might the FPS be roughly the same, but the lag might actually be "jitter"?

Nah, I read that other thread. Definitely not jitters. The FPS readout shows that I never go over 20-23 fps. And it just feels like bad fps. I just did a driver wipe and reverted back to the previous Nvidia drivers, even though I've been using these new ones with NS2 for a week or two now with no problems. I'll see if it helps.
