When you join the alien team it says "Cleanse the intruders!". Aren't the aliens the ones intruding? <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    They've already built a hive and for the most part taken over wherever they've built. No humans in sight. Now a bunch of marines come along to try and take them out. They certainly look like intruders to the aliens. Sure, the aliens intruded first, but the marines are the first resistance they've seen, so it seems like what they've already taken is rightfully theirs, and the marines are trying to take it from them. Or that's the impression I've gotten from the manual.

    Or maybe it's just a "we stole this place fair and square! Clense the intruders!" sort of situation? Both make sense.

    From what I've read in the TSA manual when NS was first released, I do believe the the marines arive AFTER the aliens have infested/ pillaged the ships and spaceports and stations and all that.
    Therefore, the marines are the NEW intruders.

    The aliens intruded on the human ships, ate the people in them and took over the ships. The Marines then storm the ship to retake it, and the aliens see this as intruding.

    I just took 'cleanse the intruders' to mean that the Hive thinks those rough bewhiskered Marines are a bit stinky and need a bit of a bath.

    as intresting as that is a ns_rats simply wouldnt work within ns. Aliens thrive on small enclosed areas so a large areas such as that would mean alot of alien death.

    er..so the marines would resort to cannabilism....seeing as it was the marines who were suggested to be finger licking good...i just assumed that the aliens would be the only ones eating the marines...oh well...who cares?
