    *sigh* It's been said before, and it'll be said ten thousand times again, Ns is -not- a realism mod. Kthx. Not only that, at the small distances that seige cannons are shooting, the diminishing effect is negligable with the power of the cannon.

    Gameplay over realism. And if you try to reduce damage as the distance goes out it will be the hardest piece of equipment the marines have, as it would have to be sighted for longer.

    hmm If you made the seige less powerful as it crossed more obsticals (if possible to code ) that would be realistic.

    How about siege turret shots deviate over longer distances... They don't get weaker, they just miss more often causing less damage to the *intended* target.

    Maybe you didn't notice, but Sieges <i>are</i> already modified in 1.04. How about checking that out first?

    If you follow the actual image link you will see it is 814 x 1222 and is over a quarter meg <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Just a few seconds and any number of freeware image programs and that could be shrunk down to the actual 64 x 64 size cap.

    Yes, their range has decreased and they can only fire if they have a spotter - i.e., a marine seeing enemy structures or the comm using a sensor sweep. I don't think they need to be nerfed any more, thank you <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    yeah the sieges need a spotter now, but it doesn't mention anything about damage reduction/increase so I'm guessing it's the same as before. I'd prefer an increase in the siege shockwave damage since they need a spotter but oh well that's just me.

    BTW does anyone know if the build time for the phase gates is reduced since they have 2000hp instead of 3500hp?
