CD-KEY Revoked.. and no refund?

So I've had NS2 for around 2 months now and shortly after playing the newest version of the game, I found myself unable to play NS2 whatsoever, long story short.. Steam support has informed me that my cd-key has recently been revoked... whats going on?
Anyone else had this recently?

I'd contact Steam support again and have them look into it.

I've asked them "why?" however I doubt I'll get an answer, they did say it was because the publisher revoked it (sorry I should of mentioned that), so I'm hoping to get a reply or some info from here.
