can't redownload the game

i had a glitch upon first downloading the game on steam, so I deleted local content and readied my self to download it again. But soon after clicking install I got a message saying it will take me 5000 hours to install it. Is there a reason for this and a way to fix it so I can partake in playing the game? Thanks for any help that is given.

    Call me noob because I'm new, but that sounds like more of a steam issue.

    maybe its because your current connection is lagging, try starting the download and see how fast its going

    Restart steam. If this persists, delete local files again, then go to steam/steamapps/common and delete Natural Selection 2 folder. Don't worry about settings, as Steam should put them in cloud and probably they are stored somewhere else (but I cant guarantee it!). Then start steam again, and install game. Steam should automatically download stuff, if it will show you long time till finishing download, its probably your internet connection, as steam doesn't install games from air, it must download game first :)
