This one appears to be server-dependent, I've had to reconnect to the server to buy weapons from the armories. Other servers do just fine, so I'm not sure what causes it for a particular server.
I have no mods, and it worked flawlessly, until it stopped working....
Also: mic stopped working in NS2 (but still worked on ventrilo at the same time). Had to unplug and replug the mic to fix.
Also: Couldn't establish connection with server (that I had just been playing 2 secs ago, that has plenty of space). Had to wait a few minutes.
Also: Failed authentification (had to wait a few minutes).
I often encounter the bug where I can't go back to the ready room with F4 or the menu option.
A friend of mine has encountered all of these issues today.
Just found out that when I "disconnect" via the menu option, for some reason, I stay on the server (a buddy saw my name in the ready room for a few mins after I had disconnected).
This seems to cause a lot of issues (can't reconnect).
Game crashed. Couldnt rejoin server. Probably because I'm still "connected" on the server (my friend sees my name in the aliens, even though I crashed).
Just a side note: since I can't quit the "attempting to connect" loading menu (with the changing artwork), I have to manually kill the Ns2.exe process. Fun times.
odd, you can type exit or disconnect in the console while loading and it'll quit out.
also, if you crash out, you have to start ns2, quit out normally, then re-start the game and it'll let you rejoin servers (otherwise it gets stuck on steam authentication, which probably thinks you're still connected).

I'll try the console command to disconnect. But it is no substitute for a good old-fashion EXIT/CANCEL/QUIT to Menu button or to allow the ESC key to do it's normal job.
Most players have no clue how to use the console. Using the console to modify the game for cheats, to display FPS, stuff like that is normal. But Exiting a loading screen should not require the use of a console command.
