Warning sounds for power nodes.

Played a scrim today and somehow our base got bilebombed by a gorge, and no notifications or red blinkings on the map showed that our base were going down. I dont know if this is a bug or a intended, if its intended I suggest adding a warning system for when marine commandstation / power is going down.

    Power nodes combined with vulnerability to gorge/onos rush that focuses on it is my biggest complaint right now. After playing and running a server for a few months, I can undoubtedly say that about 3 out of every 4 marine losses, when you have good, balanced teams on both sides in general, are due to that.

    The marine response time window to this is so small, that if the aliens are keeping enough marines occupied elsewhere this strategy can just end it right there. It's utterly frustrating to be doing well on a good marine team and lose to the actions of just a couple people on one team, when it takes the ENTIRE marine team to accomplish most anything else.

    We found out that when a gorge is bilebombing, no notifications AT ALL is shown on the map or minimap, nor no sound notifications at all but when a gorge is "spitting" IT does work.

    my idea is to have the whole room flash red on the mini map when the node is under attack

    best way to prevent this, click on your power node, give it a control group, and then it always flashes red when it gets hurt. just so long as your eyes are going to be on small icons in the bottom left.

    That would be fine if there were a way to do it with multiple nodes without having to have each one in it's own group. I rather like the entire room flashing red idea tho.

    I took out an entire marine base in data core all by myself as gorge today. No help from my team mates were needed, I simply spammed bile bomb on the power node and the whole base was destroyed in seconds.

    I stopped comming as Marines until this is fixed. I just get too pissed off when I lose because of it. I realize a better comm can catch it sooner than me, but its just a broken mechanic that I am not good enough to work around to win against a well composed alien team. Sooner or later they will bile bomb / onos rush a power node and if I don't notice it within literally 3 seconds that base is gone. If you notice it 5 seconds after the first bile bomb hits its too late - by the time you click the beacon button and the beacon countdown starts, the power node is almost dead already.

    This is a huge problem for me as it is quite frequent that a base goes down without me even noticing because I'm busy supporting my team elsewhere. There needs to be more notifications. In fact the commander experience requires a lot of work.
