FPS drop after build 237 (still in 238)

After the update from 236 to 237 I got a massiv FPS drop in pretty much all aspects of NS2 (late-game to begining, alien or marine). The strange thing is that no matter what I do to the grafic settings FPS wont change at all. Was having around 50-60 FPS pre-patch and now having around 30, dipping to 25 late-game.
Tried and failed "fixes":
Reinstall GPU drivers
Reinstall NS2
Increased priority to NS2.exe
Dubble checked that mutiple-cores was active in task manager.
Checked FPS on other games (to check the card)
Lowered settings in-game.
Specs:
AMD Phenom II X6 3.2gHz
Asus GTX580
8Gb RAM
Win7 64-bit
Anyone have any idea what I can try next? Getting annoyed and have no clue where to begin. All help is very much appreciated!
