Can you guys please take a look at the mac / arc code for path commands. Arc's do OK most of the time tho they tend to make some wierd choices.
The mac's however, they are such a pain in the *** to command. You give them an order but for some reason they tend to neglect that and start weling someone nearby. You order them to repair a exo and they repair for 1 second and then start repairing eachother (or a nearby marine).
A commanders order should be put in it's memory and followed untill the target is:
A. Reached (aka building / waypoint)
B. DEAD.
Escpecially point B would be so much better. I don't know how many times I've seen them repair a exo to full and then start to follow a marine whom is returning to base trying to repair it. These things are worse then babies when it comes to following orders.
Simple add B and the annoyance would be fixed. The mac would repair/follow the target is dead and UNLESS it has nothing else to do repair nearby units but NOT follow them.
Annother possible (more simpel fix) would be to change the weld order. I (and all the coms I suppose) would like to see exo's welding first before anything else.
Now the order is contrusction > entity. I'd prefer entity:exo > construction > entity. Or maybe even better: weld the construction or entity nearby with the lowest percentage of total_health. I say total_healt because a marine with 100hp and 0 armor should not bewelded before a exo at 25% armor because a marines armor is 0.
Then grouping:
Can this be checked aswell? I somethimes need to pres ctrl+1 like 4 times before it actually creates a group. I cannot start do describe the horror of trying to make groups when playing as a commander. Also when I pressed 1 it would be super nice if my view jumps to the unit it's bound to.
And the key commands.
For the love of god make EMP researche either refundable of unbound it from C because it practically research it every single game becuase I want to open the map when I selected the robo factory...
Also with alien com, C (or in other words the map key) should never be able to be bound to a quickbuild key.
Oh btw this post might sound a little negative but you game is awsome and I would rather have paid €50 for this game then for Far Cry 3. :).
