Nutrient Mist doesn't always respond to clicks

When i am commander and i see a nutrient mist request / sound, i hit space, see the person requesting it, and click my hotkeys to get to the mist. i then hover over the egg and press click, but sometimes, often manytimes, it doesn't take until two or three times..

This seems like a bug of some sort.

    Nutrient Mist has to be used on infectation so you don't click on the egg but near it and it will spread (having a view of it range could be nice)
