Commander targeting feature

Just wondering if you could allow the commander to place a priority target mark on say an Onos or any enemy that is visible for say x seconds. So if say 3 onos rush in the commander marks one for the team to focus fire on. Maybe link the feature to observatory and give it a tres cost or something. Was this ever considered?

If this was implemented I don't think it should cost anything, it should just be a mark over the targets head. It really would help coordinate damage to one target.

    Edit: Spelling

Very good for pub matches, however in competetive games you generally have rules everyone is aware of for focusing fire, or organise over voice comms

    You can already do this.

    1) Select Marine.
    2) Right-click target.
    3) "Attack Target" Icon follows alien.
    4) Marines shoot alien.

Ah cool I only thought you could use it to give waypoint orders. Now that I think about it no one ever really uses it. Anyways thanks

It's quite hard to hit a moving target as commander, though. If you miss it, you end up spamming the marine with annoying MoveTo orders until you finally hit it, which can be quite distracting for them. I would rather have a separate button in the menu as target marker then which allows some range tolerance for missing a target.
