<div class="IPBDescription">Stacking is just ruining a good time</div>Anyone else noticed that a pub server will always get stacked with the best players on one side and everyone else on the other. I'd like to suggest Forced random. Decided serverside, or if possible coding in some sort of register that picks up if the same people are playing on the same team repeatedly then forcing random.

Stacking to be relevant (farming KD in pubs) will never die in NS, it's one of the major reasons why co_ is so popular.
Actually That does sound a lot better than my suggestion. Not so heavy handed. And still allows players to play the race they want while creating a way to deal with the issue as it arises.
edit: the ready room is a flawed concept for a game like ns2 - the first minute or 2 of the round can decide the winner of the game.

(similar to starcraft 2 i guess)

Yeah the ready room is cool and all but it's functionality is pretty flawed. A more standard lobby system would leave a lot more room for extra features and still get people into the game more efficiently.

I've long agreed, but UWE would never get rid of the rr. The next best option is to institute a matchmaking lobby system before you join the server, which then send everyone to the server and distributes them to the appropriate teams automatically.
