This game needs more "all random" servers

This is the number one issue with this game. Team stacking.
It happens every round.
There is always 4-5 people that a group of friends that team stack constantly.
I played on the penny arcade server last night and it was insta-random. It was great. Every round was different and there was not a clear winner.
This whole game should just take out the ability to pick sides unless its a "competitive" match or something. At least let us filter for all-random servers.

Maybe make the custom-pick servers show up as the yellow-mod ones?
In any case, you are a moron for trolling one of the main reasons why this game isn't that popular.

That's not trolling at all. He's just saying that there are a lot of people that like playing with people they know vice against them. He's just saying it in a snarky way, trolling would be contributing nothing to discussion and purposefully trying to change the subject.
I normally random even if playing with friends

Same they make for the best games when an admin forces it on us. Usually because you have a full team and do not have people stacking teams with it becoming 2 vs 3 or 1 v 2 for the first few minutes until someone decides to go alien. That or matchmaking which I am sure they will include in the future.
Really needs to be a % of people on a team before a game will start or a time limit on how long you can act like a child in the RR. Ruins games constantly.

Maybe we could set it up so it auto randoms after 30 seconds or so after the match has started

There's an option in DAKadmin that allows a vote to force random teams so don't expect random teams on Scarytown every visit, but when a bunch of the regulars are there it is used quite often.
Personally I usually prefer random teams just to keep things mixed up, but if I've joined a server from a friend on steam and don't know anyone else there, I'm gonna join their team 100% of the time if possible.
It takes me more than 30 seconds to load.
If two people join the game before everyone else, they'd start the game before everyone loaded, and then they'd just appear in the RR.
Not really where I expected a voice of reason from, but I'll take it.
I hate to point it out, but that wouldn't actually be random... ^_^
Regardless: there are many of us who have real life friends we play online games with. If I can't get on a team with the 1-3 other people I'm playing with within a round or so, we tend to find another server until we can. We chat with each other on mumble (in addition to using in game voice for teamwork), and there's nothing like breaking up the party when you can't actually get a game together.
Perhaps thats why he would like more of them <img src="http://www.xerq.net/forums/images/smilies/oopsie.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />
