alien upgrades should be more expensive and aliens should be able to buy all possible upgrades and not just one in each chamber category and they should have to buy each stage individually and they should have to buy weapon abilities as well but when chambers or hives are destroyed then they don't necessarily lose those weapons or upgrades that they bought. Aliens should be able to freely transform to evolutions that they had previously bought and not died in. for example if you are a skulk and then transform to lerk and then to fade then you should be able to transform back to lerk or skulk free of charge and also back to fade free of charge. but if you die as a lerk then you can only transform between skulk and fade free of charge until you buy a lerk again. perhaps you should have to buy upgrades seperately for each evolution as well and they should cost different for the different evolutions as well perhaps. chambers should not be limited to one type per hive. gorges should be able to build a chamber of any type regardless of hives. perhaps evolutions should not be limited by hives either. hives should not be limited to 3 preset locations. they should be able to be built anywhere on the map that there is room, and the number of hives should be unlimited. i'm sure Flayra has been toying with this idea coz i saw it working in a screenshot once. hive sight should only work within radius of sensory towers. other alien structures besides hives should be able to be built hanging from ceilings.
motion tracking should only work within radius of observatories. phase gates should only be built and work nearby an observatory. grenades should be more useful somehow. perhaps do more damage and explode sooner.
anyway these are some of my ideas. you don't have to put all of them together, you can pick and choose what features you like. let me know what you guys think. obviously these changes will drasticly change the game and some other changes will need to be made to rebalance things if they are implemented.

Also, chambers being built on ceilings and walls sounds pleasing and interesting, could at to the atmosphere.
That motion tracking thing sounds good to me, but I guess I'm a little biased as skulks seem harder to play then marines right now, ever sence they were nerfed from the carapaced bug.

they fixed that health issue in 1.03
the multi hive idea? Well, if that were the case, then marines should have to start somewhere randomly too. You can't have the aliens always knowing where the marines are and the marines have to guess (three times, at that). And the hives could be ANYWHERE? well iono. Not sure this is so "revolutionary".
The observatory idea is just plain crazy. Phase gate cost is already going up with its HP going down, and you want observatories next to all of them? I give you credit for putting your idea out there to get smashed, but that's about it. Sorry, guy.
