AMD Pink 3D flickering

<div class="IPBDescription">Polygon madness</div>Hi :-),

Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7950
DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Well, as the title (and me posting in this forum) might indicate, I ran into a few problems with NS2.
I'm not a "total noob" or anything (work in IT for a living aka: know how to google stuff :-P); I have been at it for a few hours now...

At first, my game didn't work at all:
- In the menus I had a pretty much black background with a few spots
- Seemed like everything besides particle effects were invisible
- Some times the game would just be a black screen

Tried resintalling several times; checking integrity of the cache files (Steam) didn't help much either

I got it to working with the following steps:
- I had to completely uninstall the graphics drivers (think after reboot I had a 640*800 resolution :-D)
- Reinstall them
- Clear my cache folder and deleting the shaders in the %appdata% folder
- Reran the steam cache integrity check (some 40ish files new)
- Started my game (and tadaaa... everything seemed to be working fine)

So I started a practice game (in the ready room; everything was fine; Before I was just rubber-banding around)
Yeah joined one of the sides and saw the horrific graphics bug I seem to have (described in the title).

<img src="http://oi45.tinypic.com/zy8vmw.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />
<img src="http://i47.tinypic.com/25jjbqf.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Just to give you a static impression of what I'm trying to describe; This happens around EVERY resource nozzle, hive (and also in marine base). Sadly... This renders the game pretty much unplayable; those pink triangles keep flickering around wildly... making it difficult to play (also... there probably should be an epilepsy warning underneath)

And yeah; I've tried setting graphics options in various combinations; clearing cache again; checking integrity. Haven't had any problem with ANY other current games.

Here the relevant portion of the dxdiag

I Appreciate any pointers/hints on what to do

This is very odd stuff indeed, I've never seen or heard about something like this on the ATI/AMD platform. There are some issues with the NVIDIA 400 and 500 series, but nothing on the ATI/AMD cards... What are your Catalyst control settings btw?

FYI, because NS2 uses FXAA the Anti-Aliasing should be set to "Use Application settings" in any case.

Thank you for the quick reply Kouji_San,

Well; I've reinstalled the entire Catalyst software pack. So the settings are pretty much on default at the moment.
I've changed the Anti-Aliasing settings to "Application settings"...

YOU SIR... ARE MY PERSONAL HERO :-D

It works perfectly now ^^... No more Polygons gone wild :-O

I'm in your debt.... How can I repay you? (for the hours I'd have spent looking...)
(Can't quite believe that you've solved this in 1 post -.-)...

But yeah :-D... Many... many thanks from Switzerland

Hehe, the FXAA issue is an infamous one indeed, but I have never seen it slap a bunch of polygons around like this. Let alone color them pink and purple :D

I have the same problem as well. Only difference is that changing my AA settings didn't fix it.

Download newest driver of ur grafics card.
    Uninstall ur grafics driver completly.
Install new driver without keeping ur old settings.

delete shaders folder in game directory.

verify game cache of ns2 in steam.

    May it works then.
