Why is there a (LAN) beside my server?

when i refresh the server browser there is always a (LAN) at the end of the server name. it disappears after ~5 seconds, but i still don't get why it's doing that

    Because the server is in your local network, or are you saying that this happens to some random server?

    its my server. the (LAN) disappears after 5 seconds though. other people can join my server.

    just wondering why it does that

    it appears on lan because it finds it on your local network. this had nothing to do whether others can join or not.
