-Corsair ForceGT 120GB (NS2 is on this)
    -WD Caviar Black 1TB
    -HT Omega Claro Halo
    -Dell U2410

I play at 1920x1200 with no vsync and everything on low except Texture Quality, Particle Quality, and AF which are all at high. I'll take another bench at max but I find it's just easier to see with everything turned off. The only mod I use is white dot crosshair.

I took a Fraps benchmark instead of guessing like everyone else.

    Win7 Pro
    i72600K OC'ed to 4.5 Ghz
    16GB DDR3 OC'ed to I can't remember
    128gb intel SSD
2 x 1tb Western Digital Caviar Black in raid 0
    2 x GTX 680 SLI

I've seen up to 200fps but that tends to heat my cards up pretty fast so I just lock them to 90fps and they stay around 50c. FPS can go down to about 45 if i'm looking around really fast with a lot of stuff going on but I've never seen it go below that.

Fraps benchmark put me at max 201, average 132.625, and min 56. So not too bad I suppose, the drops were when picking teams and junk.

20-30fps at the low end in super intense combat with explosions etc.
    Up to 130fps+
1440 x 900 resolution all graphics set to max

I rarely get in situations where fps gets low enough to the point where it is annoying but it does happen. Although I could lighten up on the graphics settings a bit :)

    AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2GHz & 4GHz
    Radeon HD 6950 & 1GHz

I can play all maxed out fine (except AO.. never turned it on).
If i want heavy endgame with lots of action to not lower fps so much that i can feel it... i lower shadows and particels.

Heh. :D I was surprised too. I upgraded my pc nearly a year ago (with a SSD and all the new stuff), but kept my old graphic card. I want to buy a new one as soon as it is necessary. But until now I'm fine with it. I think the i5 does this magic. With the resolution of 1280x768 the waiting for gpu sticks mostly between 4 and 6ms. But I can't play it on my native resolution.

I don't want anyone to think I'm braggy braggerson because I'm posting this, but it does feel pretty good to buy almost the best possible computer. Most of you would post it if you had it.

    i7-3770 3.5GHz
    GTX 680 2GB
    32 GB Ram
    Windows 7 64-bit
    2 Dell Ultrasharp 1920x1200 monitors

    Max settings, vertical sync 60fps.

I usually play at 1080p and 30fps because then fraps will make a video that is good for posting to YouTube and such.

This is very true. There are enough factors without people making guesstimates. FPS will vary depending on game-length, server size, which team you are playing, how often you die, which map you played on.

Nah, I know the average FPS I get and posting a range is just as "accurate" as a snapshot of one round on a map, just less fancy.

    [edit]
I mean with the huge difference between the systems in here, and some oddballs of High end, low performance. It still is only a guesstimate...

No. The numbers you come up with in your head are not as accurate as the ones recorded by software. Also, you would be surprised by the number of people that flat out lie about their FPS numbers or spew vitriol like, "well it feels like im getting 60fps."

    Fraps or get out.

    i5-2430m, 2,4 Ghz I believe, don't really remember

    GeForece 540m 2gb

All low + very odd resolution of 1280x600 (got black stripes on top and bottom of the screen, don't use such resolution anywhere else >_<)

About 50 in early game (love early game), more like 20-25 late game and if aliens dominate (hence crags, shades, eggs, shifts and whips in every room, tons of them) it drops to like 10-15 :(

Tho I'm used to it, had outdated rigs for about 15 years now :D When I buy a new pc/laptop, it's already mid-tier, and then I use it for few years (not a gamer much). So, I consider 30 fps fine for playing.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    hi,
    for me:

    i5-2430m, 2,4ghz turbo boost ~ 3ghz
    4go ram
    Geforce GT 540m 2gb

all low, resolution of 1280*720 or lower to 800*600 (5fps more)
early game 50 right, 20-30 in alien front of one ennemi 10 15 in late game
in human immediatly 20-25, then 15 main game and 5-10 late game

I have activated optimus and follow all tips for improve performances.

    WTF with this ?
    r_stats 1 send me : "waiting for gpu:0"
so my frame rate deal with my processor, a i5 2,4ghz boosting to 3 ghz is more powerful than a core duo 2,4, no ? :D

so what can I do ?
I only want a small minimal 20 fps, a 25-30 fps to play is fine for me, even in minimal graphic.
    any idea ??

Here are the results I have for a system that I built almost two years ago, and even then it was considered mid-range:

I created a totally unrealistic scenario: spawned 10 exos, 10 regular marines, 6 or so onos, 8 or so fades, 6 or so skulks, and 8 or so lerks all in the data core hive room in ns2_summit with full infestation. In addition, I also dropped about 20 crags, a few shifts (and maxed out their egg deployment) and all upgrades. I then went lerk and spammed spores and umbra all over the room. All graphic settings are at their maximum. Tried with and without shades to stealth all of the aliens.

Try as I might, I couldn't get the FPS to drop below 33 (measured with fraps.) Here are my specs:

    i7 2600k @ 4.4
    Sapphire OC 7850
    8GB 1600 8-8-8
    Samsung 840 Pro

As I stated earlier, this isn't exactly a high end system, and 33fps isn't bad at all, and given how unrealistic of a scenario I created, I can't see it staying that low on a regular basis. I'm also running windows 8 (with metro apps removed) if that matters to anybody.
