In login screen it shows 20-22 fps. On lowest settings, in-game ranges from 10-25 fps mostly hovering around 15 fps range.
Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU P8600 @ 2.40GHz
4GB ram
Windows 7
Geforce 320m graphics card

Would be interested to see other ppl's average framerates.

    Laptop.
    i5-2430m, 2,4 Ghz I believe, don't really remember
    8gb ram
    GeForece 540m 2gb

All low + very odd resolution of 1280x600 (got black stripes on top and bottom of the screen, don't use such resolution anywhere else >_<)

About 50 in early game (love early game), more like 20-25 late game and if aliens dominate (hence crags, shades, eggs, shifts and whips in every room, tons of them) it drops to like 10-15 :(

Tho I'm used to it, had outdated rigs for about 15 years now :D When I buy a new pc/laptop, it's already mid-tier, and then I use it for few years (not a gamer much). So, I consider 30 fps fine for playing.

    Sys1:

    Core 2 Duo @ 3 Ghz
    4 gb RAM @ 1033 MHZ
    Geforce GTX 260 OC

About 40-60 FPS on low Settings. But never goes below 40.

    Sys 2:

    Core i7 @ 3,5 -3,9 Ghz
    16 gb RAM @ 1800 MHZ
    Geforce GTX 660 OC

Stays on 60 FPS - eveything on max.

    Each Sys with 1920*1080.

My Desktop is a 2600K At 4,6ghz, 16gb ram, SSD and GTX 680.
At 1080P I was able to max everything at nearly 60fps constant.
at 1440P I have to turn off ambient occlusion and lower shadows a litle to keep 60fps.

    My laptop is a i7-3610 8 thread 2.4ghz or 3.2 turbo'd, 8gb ram, 660M
at 1080p with most settings off or on low I keep 50-60fps the entire game.

All in all, the game has great effects with it's lighting engine. Wish there was a way to optimize another 30% and have AMD/Nvidia tweak another 15%

No point in posting your "average fps" without benchmarked figures. The human eye tends to drastically underestimate refresh rates. Someone accustomed to constant 60 FPS will likely view 40 as 20.

The last time I benchmarked was around 215 or so, and my performance hasn't increased noticeably since then, but maybe I'll run another one sometime.

At that stage it was 31 average FPS on
    i7-2630 quad m
    GTX460m

I'm on holiday now, but looking forward to getting back and seeing how the lower particle effect settings has improved my performance. Currently I get rock steady FPS except in big firefights or when an exosuit unloads.

    i5 3.1ghz
    6GB DDR3
    560 TI

Settings on max, except ambient occlusion which is off. 1920x1080

    60-70fps on menu.
    40-55fps in game.

    990x 6 core i7 @ 4.25ghz(ran it at 4.8ghz in early builds)
SLI gtx590s @ 660mhz(Ran them at 760mhz overclocked no increase in FPS in any game really)
    24gb ram(1600mhz)
Running the game off a SSD

All settings max 1920x1080 but AO which kills fps because it use so much CPU
Infestation also low because its hard to see at times with it

    160-200fps in ready room
    120~ fps in loading screen
    100+ FPS early game
    75 FPS mid game-late game
50-60 fps with DXtory recording late game
FPS drops as low as 40 and 30~ while recording

Anyone who has a GTX460 or better gpu is limited by their CPU
Intel cpus will run better because they have better IPC and better single thread performance
If you want a great cpu for this game a 3570k oced @ 4.4ghz will run this game great

    I have a 2nd pc with a G640(dual core sandy bridge pentium) and a 6670 GDDR5
It runs the game decently on medium settings
    30-45fps

The last 3 patches or so have improved FPS quite a bit

    8GB RAM @ 1333MHz
    GTX 560 Ti
    7200RPM HDD
    Win 7 64bit

    medium textures
    minimal infestation
    low particles
    no AA
    no atmospherics
    no shadows
    no ambient occlusion
    vsync off

    FPS:

In menu I get 150 fps.
Early game it's around 65-75 fps.
Mid and Late game it can vary immensely. Overall about 35-50 fps I guess, with drops to 25-30 fps in heavy combat. The weird thing is, even when r_stats shows 30-40 fps, sometimes it can feel like it's really much less (as if there's more input lag if that makes any sense).

I mostly play 9vs9 servers with ping below 65 and 100% server performance.

Usually rock solid at 22 fps except for a weird anomaly where it will periodically drop to 7 or less for no reason late or early game. All on lowest settings.
Intel core i3 at 2.3 ghz
Intel® HD family of graphics card
4 logical processors and 2 physical processors
Win7 64 bit and 6 gig of ram (1.7 is VRAM)
and a 60hz monitor refresh rate.
btw like this idea of compiling a bunc of stats so the devs can see whats up.

    Core 2 Quad Q6600 @3.4ghz
    Corsair 4GB DDR2
    MSI GTX 460 1GB

Waiting on GPU is never not 0, fps never goes below 30 except in battles of epic proportions. About 70 early game, 50 mid game. My Q6600 can easilly take 3.8ghz if I had proper cooling. Maxed out or not doesn't matter for fps, I run max everything, 1920x1080. Settings don't matter, you can run 800x600 and enjoy the same framerate as 1920x1080, because of how code-bound and CPU-intensive NS2 is.

Currently building a $500 system that will eat NS2 alive and hopefully run at 120fps in almost all cases. Wish me luck.

use vsync because why stress your card for no reason.
I get about 60FPS 90+% of the time. Generally it takes late game Alien base to get me below that.

Everything maxed at 2560x1440 minus ambient occlusion (honestly think it makes the game look worse) and atmospherics. (Also think that makes things to foggy)

Don't use vsync. vsync = random input lag up the ass, skipped frames, worse performance
limit your fps to your refreshrate. Not sure how Spark handles it but gsrc and source it was refresh rate +1, or multiples of the tick rate for the best framerate experience.

    Things i dont understand:

waiting for gpu must be always over 0 because 0 would mean more than 1001 frames per second.
60fps means "waiting for gpu: 16,6ms"
    100fps = 10ms

next thing. controlling framerate with vsync is not good. command for console: fps_max 61 or whatever....

You are doing it wrong ;) Stop rendering Matrix 4 in the background and turn off the 3d-mark benchmark while playing ns2.....
u got 700MHz more and yr graphics card (at least with latest ns2-sli-profile in nvidia-driver WHQL 310.70) sleeps while u play.
very strange... even in endgame when it sometimes goes down to 30 its doesnt feel choppy(for the few miliseconds its on 30 fps).
.. i play many firstpersonshooters like csgo and bf3 ..

Lol IMBA, I go the other way!

I think yeah 'I'm at 60 fps surely, I didn't waste my money on a new CPU correct?'

Then I see in game I'm at 60 in the RR, so MUST be lower ingame.

I'm sure it's mostly skewed perception due to personal and emotional investment :)
