Game locking up

So twice now yesterday and this morning ive had the game lock up/freeze and have to bring up task manager to end it. Once I had it freeze and it came back after a few seconds but I don't know why. This time today I was commanding so being forced out of the game is a big problem.

Has this happened to anyone else? I can't find a reason for it.

    What other programs are you running alongside NS2?

    Are you alt-tabbing?

    When and where exactly do you lock up?

    Hit "Windows Key+R" or use the "run" command, type %appdata% go to the Natural Selection 2 folder and delete everything in it.
    Then go to Steam Library, right click on NS2 then properties, go to the "Local Files" tab and then click on "Verify Contents of Game Cache"
    Go into NS2 and reconfigure your graphics options, try turning everything to Low or Off.

    No it isn't lag. Just the standard stuff chrome, xfire,steam and desura. This isn't from alt tabbing I know that can break it. Once I think was on lava map and the other was the cave map whatever its called beyond that I don't see anything similar between the freezes/crashes. It wasn't when there was alot going on or anything like that either. I will try verifying the cache.

    Oh and sorry for missing the tech support section I swear I looked for it. But I wasn't looking at the top of the forums.

    Don't worry about it, btw was there any error in your console? You can check the latest log.txt in you appdata folder to see if anything is in there, it does get overwritten each time you restart the game though. It's also in the %appdata%/Natural Selection 2 folder

    It got over written but if it happens again I will check it. I am getting a error: attempted to load remote options from a file that does not exist.
