Sentinel.

Aslong as it has on the Fly DPI and a couple extra bindable buttons, anything will do imo.

    Phasing to Off-Topic.

Logitech MX518 mouse on Steelpad QCK + Filco keyboard (don't read keyboard fanatic forums, your wallet will thank you).

Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical (best mouse ever) and a Logitech Deluxe 250 keyboard (stylish) with no mouse mat (hardcore)

I still use razer mice. I've kind of accepted they break down at some point, but the shape and design in general are pretty damn well suited for me. I might start looking for alternatives when this Abyssus breaks down though.

Or is there some other reason to avoid them than the low durability?

MX500 and when that one broke and was no longer available I picked up 3 MX518's (in case they go out of stock as well :P)

    Logitech g500 and razer blackwidow

I got fed up with razer mice after I purchased a defective imperator -_- The blackwidow is working great so far though (only had it about a month). Tesoro's Durandal is also a good alternative to razer.

I use whatever keyboard is clever... This one has a broken left ctrl

I have a mx550 that was a replacement for my other Logitech mouse that I used for years and probably shouldn't have gotten a warranty replacement on that is solid

    it's on a thunder8 xray pad

didn't we just have the mousepad thread recently?

I use a logitech g-series mouse. The label has long since worn off so I don't know exactly what model. It's OK, it's a bit awkward to hold. My keyboard is a Dell KS-8115 which came free with some servers at work. It's got a totally standard layout, no bells or whistles whatsoever. It's great.

Mouse: Mionix Naos 5000, best right hand mouse I've ever used. It got all the jazz, weight system (seemed gimmicky at first but it's actually quite nice), change color on all LEDs, macros, dpi on the fly switching, surface analyzer, yadda yadda. The main thing I wanted was the ergonomics.
    http://mionix.net/products/naos-5000/

Mousemat: Currently a razer sphex because it was cheap but after xmas I'm going to get the new fUnc surface: http://www.func.net/en/products/surface-1030-l/

Keyboard: Original "Das Keyboard" a black blank keyboard with mechanical switches, can't remember which type atm. I messed up the spacebar so I need a new one eventually but everything else is like when it was new.

The new razer things have amazing design, but they just break so easy and aren't well put together. So if you want something that lasts long go with logitech. They also feel solid.

I'm currently using a Logitech G19 keyboard and G700 gaming mouse. I'm very keen to upgrade to a Logitech G710+ keyboard though, mechanical!

Mouse: Logitech G500 or MX518 if I'm feeling oldschool pro. Logitech FTW.
    Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Mechanical

My R.A.T. 7 and Steelseries cloth pad has not let me down yet in the two years I've had 'em.

Any recommendation for a small non-razer gaming mouse? I doubt my wrist can take a palm-shaped logitech for any extended period of time. Something about the size and weight of Diamondback 3G or Abyssus would be mighty fine.
