Lighting is all dark

Since the update yesterday, all the lighting has gone dark for me, like this:

I'm not running any mods and fiddling with graphics settings hasn't fixed it.
I also tried verifying the game cache, but to no avail.

If anyone could shed any light on my situation (see what I did there) I would be grateful.

    You should include the name of your GPU and the Operating System you are using. That will help to give you more hints.

    In case you have not done it yet, you should update your graphics driver to the latest version (or if you have an nvidia gpu, you can also use the latest beta driver since they are pretty stable). Most rendering errors occur due to having an older graphics driver than the devs where certain bugs got ironed out by the device vendor.

    Also, you could update your other drivers as well.

    Silly me. I'm running Windows 7 with an AMD 6950 with the latest stable drivers (12.11). I'll try upgrading to the beta drivers.

    Hi, this happened to me also, i believe it was due to alt tabbing during the "compiling sahaders for first run" part, deleting local content and reinstalling ficed this isue for me.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and did not alt-tab during shader compilation, but the problem persists.

    Try deleting your %APPDATA%\Natural Selection 2\cache folder.

    Go into CCC and reset it to default. This once happened to me and although I don't think I changed anything in CCC, this fixed it for me. I also read, that custom or driver initialized AA conflicts with the games engine.
