Steam won't let me buy the 4 pack?

I'm trying to buy the 4 pack of NS2 but can't because I already own the game :( (This seems to be the reason as far as I can tell)

I want to buy only steam gift versions to give to friends....... Help! I've only a few hours left before I have to go to bed!!

    I am having the same issue! I wanted to buy a 4 pack to give copies to friends for the holidays, but It looks like that may not be possible... Hrm.

    I suppose you could create a new account and buy it from there. Maybe one of the copies will be tied to it though, I don't know.

    OK, for anyone having this problem; I've found a workaround.

    Buy the 4-pack using one of your friends accounts (He/she must NOT already own NS2 and you wanted to gift him/her the game)

    Then 1 copy will be used on his/her account and he/she can gift the 3 other copies.

    Then /give cash to friend.

    This is actually the only solution for every 4-pack (in some cases 6-pack) on steam, if you objective is to save the most money. But considering you just get about one copy for free and with the 60% that would only be 9€ (here in Europe). I am not sure if that is worth the trouble. You get an awesome game that just got released and is worth much more money, if you ask me :-)
