Hugh and my self have just gotten started doing mod-spotlights to showcase some of the Ns2's community's best creations, If you have ideas - feedback - or something you want to have showcased please give this post a reply!

    I absolutely love these and appreciate all the work (by yourself, hugh, and the creators) done to bring these to us :).

    One suggestion would be to maybe (on youtube) name the ones concerning a map something like Map-Spotlight or something to make it more easily discernible what the video is about.

    Like them a lot, but as previously said, name the ones about maps into map-spotlight.
    Also could be a nice idea to make a playlist on hughs channel for these vids, easyer to find them then.

    Will every spotlight be a game played on the map/gamemode? Or will there be stuff like showing off mods that are more like a framework with demo-entities implemented in a testing map, or maybe even just something like an administration mod or similar? Cause I am interested in seeing not only spotlights of mods that affect gameplay a lot (maps, gamemodes and such), but a little bit of everything.
    except for stuff like skins and muzzleflash mods (unless its a gorge with a hat :D) :P

    I would love to see custom maps on some of the "modded" official servers. It's really hard to find any populated server that has custom maps in it's rotation. In all the hundreds of hours I played NS2, the only custom maps I ever played on a server were Triad and that FTL map.

    It would be easiest to post a poll on the forums, and ask people to nominate maps for voting in the next poll. For the first week you would need to post a topic before you finished it. You could also do Twitter, Streams, or other methods, but the forums would get the most response. It would also help if you get the devs to link it inside the main menu or something (they really need a community selection to show all the streams and videos).

    It would also help if you had a dev post the thread asking for nominations.

    I want a clorf on Hera, even if it's just a gag in the readyroom ;) Let it be a grand challenge for Alien players on Hera to end the game as a Lerk, so they can go in the readyroom and be able to proudly declare... Lorks on the clorf!

    More seriously though, I'm biased as a server admin, but my number one want is a solution to get DAK or ns2stats loaded on servers through the mod workshop without getting them flagged as modded. As it stands, loading mods through server.lua requires updating the mods by hand manually, which is a pain.

    I have been an advocate for a more mod friendly server system ever since 1.0, but I will pass on my thought again!

    Yeah, I have been talking with there programers for a while now.... Its going to happen, when the mod is in Beta! so soon-ish

    Ok a short Ns2:Classic spotlight was just recorded, and will be going up on the weekend.
    What do you guys want to see next?
