A way to load several lua mods at the same time in a compatible way, e.g. by specifying an entry point for each script mod. Currently, there is none because you have to either overwrite .lua files, overwriting different mod's lua files as well, or load a mod through game_setup.xml which is also overwritten by different mods.
New maps are probably at the top of my list. Despite other issues, the same maps are starting to get stale and probably the only thing holding me back from playing more then I already do. Would love to see some more original maps ported over as well as a couple new ones.
Performance for sure. It makes no sense to adjust the rest of the game while it is highly unplayable. Obviously this is not the case for everyone, but a good portion of people seem to have performance issues. Myself included with the latest update.

But if it doesn't and I actually have time to focus on the game itself, then it's indeed the early round starts.

I'll +1 this.
I have only had one or two "crashes" since release.
I already verified my Steam cache. As it stands, I can't play many different maps in a row without running out of memory at some point. Some textures (usually those that are ironically used in every game session, like infestation or HUD textures) stay at the default textures or don't load, some are only loaded at minimum resolution, the performance goes down because it seems to be trying to still stream the higher resolution versions in and fails every time and eventually the game will just crash on the next map load. Memory consumption of the application went up to 2 GB.
It's easy to say "it's your system", but if other blockbuster games like Deus Ex HR, pretty much every Unreal Engine game and Crysis & Co. run fine at high to maximum details on my system, then I see much rather NS2 as the culprit. Especially if the game runs fine in the beginning but starts to tank more and more the longer you play.
I don't know what exactly it is, framerate, hitreg, latency, but the game still handles very poorly for me. I'd probably like it a bit more if it was a good shooter, but as it stands it's like playing an interesting shooter on a terrible server, except it's every server.
Animations glitch out, other players teleport around, things move faster than my framerate can apparently deal with. Was the same on my old, much crapper computer too, so it's not the computer, the game just doesn't run well somehow. I point at stuff and click but it doesn't seem to register, reminds me of playing very laggy COD MW2 or something where you and a dude see each other, you both shoot, then you die a second later without registering a hit because he actually saw you a second earlier and killed you and it took that long to transfer over to you. Which of course happens all the time in MW2 because of terrible server support and because everything in COD kills you in a millisecond.
Kinda impossible to enjoy like that. If you're making a game that fast, you need the game to run perfectly, otherwise you literally win or lose entirely based on latency/registration/graphical glitches. In slower games with slower fights you have time to react at least and can still play, but you really can't in NS2.

There may be things you can attempt to fix this, or it may be something that the NS2 devs need to iron out. If you're not willing to try troubleshooting don't try to blame the devs though.
"X other game worked fine" is never a reason why Y game must work fine for your machine in PC gaming.

Arcs - its one thing that needs two bits done to it.
1) Fix its path finding as they sometimes derp out but more importantly 2) Fix it so the Arc must have a line of sight on the target itself because at present you can wheel them into a place considered the same room by the game and then fire through the walls at the target as long as you mark them / acquire line of sight by scanning or having someone stand in line.

Even if that isn't the exact way it goes, I would like to see something that doesn't make me wait at the first RT while everyone is still trying to join the game.
