Faces are black

Just a short question, when i started up the updated editor all faces just seem to be black so its pretty impossible to work with. Anyone know how to fix this.

    Render is probably set to "textured lit", which means if there are no lights everything is dark. Click on "Perspective" at the top left of your 3D viewport, to see other options. "textured unlit" is full bright for instance.
