Natural Selection 2 went retail a while ago and while there are some leagues around, I believe we all can agree that more are needed! One such is in the works that will be ran on ESAGamer, an upcoming competitive gaming site. There will be a tournament sometime in january when the site has gone live and I will be overseeing the NS2 side of things and provide necessary coverage and hype.

Between now and launch – the ESA need to accumulate as many visitors, pre-registered accounts and Facebook followers as possible to strengthen our proposition for sponsorship.

Forgot to mention something rather obvious :) Euro based, the first tournament anyway. I don't see a reason why US/Other teams couldn't sign up but they'd have to deal with the usual handicaps that intercontinental games create.
This sounds really, really good actually. I like it a lot!
