<div class="IPBDescription">Problem on resolutions smaller than 1920x1080</div>When I try to set the resolution smaller than 1920 x 1080 the game will not be completely full screen on my monitor, but instead gets a 1 inch thick black frame around it.

How do I work around this?

I seem to have fixed it by setting windows resolution to the same as ingame (1280x768) and restarting ns.

You should look into this though, having windows in a small resolution on a modern monitor looks weird.

The problem you are having is that your display driver probably has scaling turned off. Which means its keeping your screen at its normal 1920x1080 resolution, but only displaying the 1280x768 pixels in the screen space.

Check the nvidia control center, or ati ccc, for the scaling options. I have a nvidia so I can provide a picture of the screen for them that you need to change.

No scaling is what is happening to you right now.
Full screen will stretch the image to the entire display, sometimes this can look funny.
Aspect Ratio will stretch it as much as possible but add black bars to maintain proper image shape.
