If I were going to video review the game, and I had a beta copy, I'd play a lot of beta, get most of the footage I wanted to use finished and out of the way, and then wait for release, play a bunch more, and see if the judgement and assumptions I had made still held true, or whether they had been fixed, then tweak my review script to account for that. At that point it's just recording audio and editing.

[edit] I'd probably also check the games wiki before recording for the script. WTF GT.

Hehe, "the bat-like Fade". Whoops :P

Weird to see all the old commander interfaces and auto-squad-making blob. Great review for the game though.

Yeah, while nice, that reviewer guy obviously hasnt payed much attention to the game
Given the footage shown is a bit outdated.. well.. uh. given.

Regardless of what you think of any game and it's creators I find it sad that people think it's ok to sum up years of a team's hard work in a video less than 4 minutes long, with footage about 7 months old, and many inaccuracies by the reviewer. Not even games like Brink or Far Cry 2 deserve treatment this ######.

I will at least say that I, too, have mixed up the names of some of the Kharra units early on. They're not exactly so close to what you'd always expect, whereas other games tend to have generic names like "The Brute" or "The Hunter".

Can anyone point out if there are any other particular inaccuracies that would greatly affect the review?

I liked the review, it's well-written. While the beta footage might be outdated, it still shows the fun and excitement in the game, I don't see a problem with that. If I was seeing NS2 for the first time, I'd say it was a pretty positive promotion for the game.

It was overall a pretty decent review... Excepting the outdated footage and older names used, I couldn't find fault in anything the reviewer said.

When was a skulk called a "skag" and a lerk called a "fade"?

I think I meant to say incorrect, not older. Although IIRC some names were different in the NS1 alpha days :P
