Skulks can really win the game easily!
OKay, if you get lucky and get 3 hives and stuff, then do other players a favor, PLz XENOCIDE!!! skulks are meant to be suicidal units, and you must use them to ELIMINAte all mairnes if range. Even if they got Heavy Armour, big deal. 195 damage is like affected on the armour, and they take about 5 damage on health. but now that you seriously damaged armour, other players can annihilate them immediately. Xenocide helps kills a pack of marines, so if it's 1 on 5, leap and xenocide b4 you they shoot ya to death. Xenocide kills like any marines that are in range and have light armour (not heavies) 200 damage and 400 damage on structures. If you want, xenocide buildings too. REmember, xenocidde helps a lot by killing all the marines nearby, so you can win fast and easily...

Until i upgrade (usually to fade) Im always crazy and suicidal. When you die, you hop outta the resource pool for a few seconds (helping ur gorges) then you are good to go again, racing to wherever the action was.
The most enjoyable games I've played included a constant stream of skulks running everywhere, parasiting, biting everything in sight, and generally wreaking havoc. TUFF skulks with balls.
Too many times i see people trying to run away from a marine when they're wounded. You cant run away from a marine when you are wounded, as anyone who plays much would know. Just jump in and chomp down.

I won't xenocide for just one marine. It almost seems a waste when leap+bite works so much better in a 1v1 or 1v2.
My rule of thumb for xenocide is "if there's a good chance you'll get 2 or more kills at once, go for it".
Works for me.
That said, I'm all for skulk suicides against structures (by chomping on something while you die, rather than trying to defend yourself). IME, losing a structure hurts worse than losing a marine.
Skulk Hint; when you're attacking marines, before you attack switch to parasite and keep your finger on the trigger, get to parasite-range and fire then switch to bite and "eat" him. Now even if you get shot, he is now marked for somebody else .
